SIP 2013
HIGHLIGHTS
 The first SIP batch consisted of 26 interns, of which 9 received
PPO’s (30% of the batch)
 Interns
were allowed to take ownership of their projects
during the Program. They took responsibility for their project
goals and delivered meaningful results which have been
taken up by their departments for implementation

10
A panel consisting of the Chairman, CEO, CMO and plant
operation heads evaluated the intern’s final presentations,
assessing them on their creativity, specific project
deliverables and value addition to the departments and
organization
SIP 2013
HIGHLIGHTS
 All interns were given the opportunity to spend a week at
India’s largest private sector steel plant at a single location,
seeing the steel manufacturing process in its entirety – an
opportunity very few get, as access to the general public is
restricted
11

A 3 day leadership program which involved team building
activities and leadership talks by senior executives was
conducted at our plant in Vijayanagar

A ‘CSR day’ was organized during which interns participated
in community service activities. Interns also had the
opportunity to interact with children studying at local village
schools, supported by the JSW Foundation
Sample project
