Changes made in 8.8 release to improve quality:
Engine Refactoring
The source code in multiple areas of the software has been rewritten to consolidate and
streamline functionalities that has been added over the years across ‘cluster’ releases.
‘Engines’ like serial & batch, inventory valuation and gross profit functionality has been
introduced.
Development Methodology
Introduced taskforce safeguarding for critical areas like upgrade functions, compatibility,
performance, etc.
Test Automation
Significantly increased usage of test automation: Improved regression scenario testing,
