BACKGROUND

In 1974 Radio Habari Maalum was  Habari Maalum College is a Christian
interdenominational college offering
launched in Kilimanjaro and moved in
certificates and diplomas in media
1982 to Arusha. Teaching of

In 1998 started Radio Producer
Training, RPT, in Radio Habari
Maalum, focusing on radio
In 2006 started video courses and
name was changed to Media
Producers Training

HMC offers diploma courses in Leadership
and Management, LEMATI.

HMC offers also certificate courses in
Natural Resources Management

In 2008 the institution was
upgraded to Habari Maalum College
(HMC).

Courses under planning that HMC hope to
offer soon are Business and Adminstration,
BA, Information Technology, IT and PostGraduate Master, MA in Communication,
Theology and Research.
Music and Drama courses are also
coming soon.

Environment and Management of
Natural Resources course apply to
get certificate in Environment and
lasts for two months once per year

to get knowledge on specific subjects
from the Diploma program and lasts
one or two months.
