Bank Branch Outsourcing:
Bank Branch Outsourcing: As the “Brick & Mortar” model of
banking is not sustainable in rural regions, under the “Financial
Inclusion” initiative –
• RBI set the guidelines allowing banks to appoint common BCs to
reach unbanked regions in India.
• Government has decided to transfer the entire scheme benefit
scheme worth more than 3 Trillion per annum through bank
account only.
• Direct Benefit Transfer is a big driver for Branch opening at the
sub tier-III cities in India.

Background:
• 1,00,000 + ATMs are currently operational only in Tier-I and Tier-II urban areas.
• In February 2012, RBI allowed non-banks to setup, own and operate White Label ATMs (WLAs) which would provide ATM services to customers of all banks.
Vakrangee has been granted “In-Principle Authorisation” by RBI for setting up WLAs in India.
• Vakrangee will setup, own and operate minimum 15,000 WLAs under its own brand
