Streamlining the design, layout
and analysis process is our goal.
This increases time for free and
innovative thinking, resulting in a
quality engineered product, and
valuable well-designed solutions
for our client.
STADD® is our primary
structural analysis
software.
Solidworks® 2013 is the
primary engineering
software employed by
FMC. The 3D structural
and mechanical elements
generated for layout and
interference checking can
now be leveraged for
analysis.
FMC also utilizes other
CAD packages, such as
AutoCad, to ensure flexible
capability in meeting our
individual client needs.
As certified users of Overland Conveyor’s Belt Analyst
software, our engineering staff produces efficient and
reliable conveyor system designs. This system allows
input of vertical and/or horizontal profiles with up to 360
flights, making it a valuable aid in horizontal-curve and
vertical-curve analysis.
Applied DEM’s Discrete Element Modeling software is
also incorporated to evaluate chute design. This unique
software allows us to simulate belt transfer chute
performance through virtual prototyping of particle-flow
systems.
Engineering design and construction of raw coal
conveyance and storage from the mine slope mouth
through to power plant feed conveyor.
Completed at an
approximate cost of
$41 million, this was a
component of the
PSGC power plant
project, currently the
largest privately funded
construction project in
North America.
Complete design/build of the raw coal and clean coal handling systems including
conveyors, storage systems, and reclaim systems.
Design and construction of clean coal conveyance and storage from the prep
plant through to our new truck load-out system.
Engineering design and construction of slope drive/raw coal sizer structure,
transfer conveyor and 500 ton surge bin.
Redesign and construction of existing conveyor support structure.
Design and construction – work in progress –
layout of emulsion building and compressed air
piping design.
Construction of new refuse system including
existing plant modification, new refuse conveyor,
500 t refuse bin, and design/build of fly ash
handling system.
Construction – work in progress – Administration
Building, Mine Fan, Rock Dust Tank.
Design/Build of Preparation Plant Conveyor
Systems for Plant Feed, Clean Coal and Refuse.
Construction of the Preparation Plant also by
Fricke Management & Construction, Inc.
Design and construction
of the surface coal
handling equipment
including the slope
tower, concrete stack
tubes and
screen/breaker building.
This $20 Million
project is
currently under
construction and
will be completed
by the end of
2013.
