Interdisciplinary programmes building communities around priority challenges 60,000+ Members An engaged online community of innovators served by a single platform 6,000+ Delegates per year David Lockwood Chair Hundreds of events bringing people together ‘to make magic happen’ PAGE 4 The Knowledge Transfer Network The government is to invest £ 270 m over five years in the development of quantum technologies, including through the Technology Strategy Board £ 32 m The Technology Strategy Board will work with the EPSRC to encourage UK companies to evaluate and develop innovative uses of quantum technology, to gain an early competitive advantage in the global race to exploit this innovative technology area. It will help companies to conduct studies, make early-stage prototypes and test components at reduced cost. These earlystage activities will be crucial tools in driving expectations and mapping the potential value of new markets.
