They include 584,2 km of Metropolitan Lines, LRT’s, Monorails, and Regional and Metropolitan Trains. 14 Projects in Execution – Scenario 2020 Considering the PPP contracted projects and the ones already running, Brazil will, by 2020, have 29 projects completed in the sector of rail transportation for passengers. There are around 2.700 km of lines, which could quadruplicate the current Brazilian rail network for passengers. 16 Investiments – Scenario 2020 Projects with potential hiring until 2020 Manaus´ Monorail Regional Train Teresina - Codó Natal´s LTR Recife´s LTR Maceió´s LTR – expansion and new line Brasília´s LTR Metro – Expansion Regional Train Brasília – Goiânia Regional Train Brasília - Luziânia Curitiba´s metro Regional Train Maringa/Londrina Porto Alegre´s metro Canoas´Aeromovel Regional Train Caxias do Sul/Bento Gonçalves Regiona Train Pelotas – Rio Grande Regional Trains Metro Line 2 Metro Line 3 Urban Train Eldorado/Belvedere Metro Line 3 High Speed Train RioSão Paulo Intercity Trains Metro Line 2 – Expansion Metro Line 20 17 Scenario of Mobility - Investments Despite the large volume of investments, the population’s needs are not met and the expansion growth rate does not even keep the demand growth, regardless the existence of several projects, which are not completed yet. There is still need for more investments for the expansion of the railway systems, increase of the rolling stocks and the rebuilt of the existent. We still wait for the selection of the projects within PAC Medium Cities, hoping that projects on rail have been granted to be implemented in several cities. 18 Social and Urban Legacy The major legacy for the cities is essentially the infrastructure of mobility, that will be used by the whole population during decades. For this reason, the National Association of Transporters of Passengers on Rail (ANPTrilhos), working in an integrated manner with entities, system operators and the metro-rail industry, defends, as central point, the amplification of investment in the sector. 19 Thanks Luiz José Berenguer Counselor of ANPTrilhos ANPTrilhos National Association of Transporters of Passengers on Rail Brasília: SAS Quadra 01, Bloco J, Edifício CNT, Sala 510 Fone/Fax: +55 61 3322-3158 contato@anptrilhos.org.br www.anptrilhos.org.br Twitter: @ANPTrilhos Facebook: Anp Trilhos 20
