The Wesley Youth Housing Program aids in addressing the issues of youth age 16-21 years who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness.
Wesley staff assist with housing, safety, skill development, education, employment and building a new life through a twoyear program that develops the necessary skills for youth to move to independence in the community.
Wesley Youth Housing is Hamilton's only transitional housing program for youth with a capacity to house 19 youth at a time with 24-hour support and crisis intervention, and an emphasis on learning skills to live independently.
This past year Wesley assisted 32 youth with this program.
Through the Street Youth Planning Collaborative,
YOW-H serves 12-21 year old youth and their families in three underserved, at-risk communities in Hamilton.
This mobile team focuses on community development, engagement and referrals to existing services.
This past year, YOW staff touched the lives of 9,000 youth. More than 800 families were served and more than 4,000 referrals made.
