II. Composition of SMC
Chairperson:
• Sarpanch shall be the Chairperson in rural areas
• Councilor / Corporator shall be the Chairperson in
Municipal areas.
Vice – Chairperson:
• Committee will be elected from amongst the
parent community.
• If Chairperson is not from the SC or ST or BC
the Vice-Chairperson shall be from any of these
classes
