Test Scheduling
› Each content area of the AIMS Test must be given on the day
and in the order prescribed on Slide 12
› Writing and Science are on April 15
› Reading and Math Part 1 on April 16
› Reading and Math Part 2 on Day 17
› Reading and Math Part 3 on Day 18
› NOTE: The order of Reading and Math may NOT be switched.
Reading is to be done before Math…no exceptions.
14
AIMS Make-Up Testing
› AIMS make-up testing may begin on April 19 through April 26
› A student does not need to make-up in any particular order like
on the regular test dates
› If a student needs all day to finish a part of Reading, then the
Math part can be given as a make-up at a later time.
› Ex. Princess takes almost all day for Part 1 of Reading. In this
case she will take the Math as a make-up. She does not have to
do Math Part 1 before she does Reading Part 2. It could be that
Princess takes almost all day to do each Part of Reading, so that
means that all 3 parts of Math will be done during the make-up
window.
15
Don’t Forget!!
› Once a student starts a Part, he must finish that Part within the
school day and can not ever go back to a Part that has been
started.
› Ex. #1 Prince did not finish all of Reading Part 2, even though he
had all day to do it. He may NOT come back during the make-up
and finish Reading Part 2.
› Ex. #2 TinkerBell was working on Part 1 of Math, when she went
to the nurse’s office because she was ill. She did not finish Part
1 of Math. She may NOT come back during the make-ups and
finish Part 1; however, she may come back and do Part 2 and
Part 3 Reading and Math.
16
Stanford 10 – Grade 2
› School site selects any two or three days from April 15 - 19
› Schools can test over 3 days if they choose
› Stanford 10 make-up window closes April 26

› Cover the incorrect pre-ID label with a blank white label. Then hand bubble the
correct student information on the back of the answer document
38
Accommodations
39
All Test Administrators must read and
be familiar with:
Testing Accommodations:
Guidelines for 2012-2013
40
Universal Accommodations
› Universal test administration conditions that are in a student’s
IEP or 504 are not considered testing accommodations so do
not need to be marked in Box K of the answer document
› May be offered to any student in order to provide a
comfortable and distraction-free testing environment
41
42
Standard Accommodations
Standard accommodations are available to:
– Students with certain injuries
– English Language Learners
– FEP Year 1 and Year 2 students
– Students with an IEP or 504 plan
43
Recording Accommodations
› Test administrators must record the use of standard

accommodations is on pages 61- 62 of the Test Administration

47
After Testing, Test Administrators Need to
Check That:
Found on Pg. 57 of Test
Administration Directions
49
Special Circumstances
Contaminated Materials
› Do not return test materials contaminated with blood, vomit,
or other bodily fluids
› Transfer student responses to a clean answer document
› Destroy contaminated test materials securely at school
50
Organizing
Scorable Materials
(Answer Documents: Used and Unused)
51
Instructions for Organizing Test Materials for Return
to Testing Warehouse
› Please ignore Pgs. 12 – 43 in your Test Coordinator’s Manual
› You will not receive any of the materials they reference on these
pages….they were pulled out of your boxes
› Only follow slides 47 – 54 for instructions on how to organize test answer
documents and test books for return to the testing warehouse
52
Organizing Used Answer Documents (Scorables)
› Organize answer documents to be scored by grade (Grade 3 test booklet is the
answer document as well)
› Separate grades with a colored piece of paper
› Note on each colored piece of paper, how many documents are within each grade
› AIMS and Stanford 10 must be kept in separate boxes
53
Organizing Answer Documents – AIMS 3-8
3rd Grade
Consumable Test Books
(Answer Documents)
4th through 8th Grade
Answer Documents
Organizing the Non-Used Answer Documents
› Non-used answer documents are those that were not used because they were
extra, student never showed up, misplaced label, coffee spilled on
it….whatever
› Non-used answer documents are not being scored but must be returned
along with the used answer document but keep in a separate stack (includes
2nd Gr. Stanford 10 and 3rd Gr. Consumable booklets)
› Count the non-used answer documents and note how many are in the stack
55
Organizing Stanford 10
•
Stanford 10 test materials must be assembled and
boxed separately from AIMS
•
Stanford 10 consumable booklets are returned as
answer documents
•
You will have a stack of used Stanford 10 answer
documents and a stack of unused answer document
•
Be sure to separate and label the used from the
unused…but they are returned as “answer
documents”
56
Non-Scorable Materials
(AIMS Test Books, Reference Sheets, Rulers,
Administration Manuals)
57
Organizing Non-Scorable Materials
Organize by Grade:
› AIMS is separated by grade only
› It does NOT matter if a test book has been used or not….they all go
together
› Remember: Stanford 10 2nd Gr. and AIMS 3rd Gr. are consumable books so
are considered as answer documents and are returned with all answer
documents
58
Returning Test Materials
Email Cindy to schedule a
time to return all materials
These are the ONLY dates for
returns. Test Coordinators will need
to come during the school day, so plan
for coverage if you need it.
