 What criteria is required for inclusion in the
network?
– Meet state requirements
– Must validate hiring practices

 Can I meet a caregiver in advance?
– Yes! A “meet and greet” can be scheduled
 If I like a caregiver, can I request them in the future?

Program Policies
Uses and Fees
 80 hours of back-up family care year
 Co-pay structure
o Center care: $2.50/child/hour
o In-home care: $5/hour, per caregiver
(Copayments are collected by Bright Horizons)
Cancellation Policy
 After 5:00 p.m. counts as use with co-pay

First Time User – Center Based
No Co-Pay promotion
 Bright Horizons will waive an employee’s center based co-pay if
they choose center based care the first time they use the BackUp Care Advantage Program.
 The promotion is done at the employee level (not the
dependent level) so if an employee’s first reservation request
of the program year is for well child care, and they choose
center based care, they will have their co-pay waived.
