Action Taken Report on 5th JRM Report,2013-14





Action Taken Report on the observations/recommendations of the 5th
Joint Review Mission Team which had visited 02 districts of Lower
Subansiri and East Siang during December,2013 have been
submitted to MHRD.
Deputy Commissioners of the districts have reported that they have
initiated remedial measures towards JRM reports and issued
instructions to all headmasters of the schools to implement the MDM
effectively as per guidelines.
District education functionaries have been directed to carry out
inspection, monitoring and supervision of the scheme
implementation on regular basis.
School Management Committees have been entrusted with
responsibility of monitoring and supervision of the scheme at school
level.
Capacity building of 50 Block Education Officers have been
organized to orient them as resource persons for the district/block
level training programme.

Action Taken Report on Actionable points of minutes of PAB,2013-14
1. Less coverage of children in Tirap and Tawang districts: Deputy
Commissioner of both districts had initiated remedial measures for effective
delivery system of foodgrains and serving mid day meals in schools.
2. Revision of Transport Allowance rates from Rs.2600 to Rs.5200 per
MT: Proposal has been submitted to MHRD during the current year; but it
was not approved for want of uniform PDS rate prevailing in the State. This
issue was discussed in the recent SLMC meeting held on 21.02.2014, a
fresh proposal will be submitted in April-May,2014.
3. MI Report : Action Taken Reports of MI for previous periods have been
submitted. But the latest MI Report on MDM is not yet received.
4. Delay in the release of funds to schools: This issue was discussed in
recent SLMC meeting and the State Finance Department gave assurance to
take steps for release of fund under MDM Scheme.
