WHMIS SYMBOLS
• WHMIS symbols were developed to
standardize the labeling of
dangerous materials used in all
workplaces, including schools
COMPRESSED GAS
• product held under pressure
• do NOT puncture or store it
near a heat source
• examples:
- propane canisters
- oxygen tanks
- helium tanks
FLAMMABLE/COMBUSTIBL

catch fire easily

• examples:
