STRASBOURG By:Aliza Map of Strasbourg Strasbourg is a large city in North Eastern France and is the capital of Alsace region. It is also the seat of the European Parliament. It is close to the border with Germany and the river Rhine and is an important cross road in Europe. Population The population of Strasbourg is 270,000 which makes it one of the largest cities in France. This is a chart to show you how many people live in strasbourg. History Because of many wars in Europe Strasbourg has been invaded many times the last time during WW2. Because of its long history Strasbourg has many old and beautiful buildings including the large Cathedral. Tourist attractions The old part of the city is called Petite France and has many attractive buildings, canals and bridges. The German district has examples of classical German architecture. Other attractions are the Cathedral, many parks and museums. Education Strasbourg has several famous universities and institutes.
