is God’s will that you should
be sanctified (holy): that you
should avoid sexual immorality
… 7 For God did not call us to be
impure, but to live a holy life.

2. The Pain and Damage of Porn
Six weeks of exposure to pornography can:
• Lead to an increased callousness towards
women.
• Distorted perceptions of what is normal in
sexual practice.
• Develop an appetite for an increasing
intensity of the pornography experience.
• Begin to view non-monogamous relationships
as normal and natural.

“Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that helps
control the brain's reward and pleasure
centers. Dopamine also helps regulate
movement and emotional responses, and it
enables us not only to see rewards, but to take
action to move toward them … and people with
low dopamine activity may be more prone to
addiction. The presence of a certain kind of
dopamine receptor is also associated with
sensation-seeking.”

3. The Path to Purity
“I have come that they may
have life, and have it to the
full.”
John 10:10 | NIV
The Path to Purity
i.
You have to understand and
live in the power of the cross.
5
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to
your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity,
lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6
Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. 7
You used to walk in these ways, in the life you
once lived. 8 But now you must rid yourselves of
all such things as these: anger, rage, malice,
slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9 Do
not lie to each other, since you have taken off
your old self with its practices 10 and have put on
the new self, which is being renewed in
knowledge in the image of its Creator.
Colossians 3:5-10 | NIV
8
Do not gloat over me, my
enemy! Though I have fallen, I
will rise. Though I sit in
darkness, the Lord will be my
light. 9 Because I have sinned
against him, I will bear the
Lord's wrath, until he pleads my
case and establishes my right.
He will bring me out into the
light; I will see his
righteousness.
Micah 7:8-9| NIV
The Path to Purity

You have to understand and

ii. Replace wrong thoughts with
right thoughts.
“Fix your thoughts on what is
true and honorable and right.
Think about things that are
pure and lovely and admirable.
Think about things that are
excellent and worthy of praise.”
