Workshop on Language Development
in Typical and Atypical Populations
A two-day workshop will be held at Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) Run Run Shaw Lecture
Hall, September 6 & 7, 2012. The workshop theme is the scientific study of language acquisition in typically
developing children and in children with language disorders, including children with Specific Language
Impairment (SLI) or Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), and children whose language deficits are associated with
mental retardation or with hearing impairment.
