reservoir, water never
disappears from it,
no river falls into it.

The length of the
Lake is 8 km, the
width is 2 km.
The depth is 7 m and in its south-eastern part it
reaches 50 m.

What is the origin of its name. Some people think it came from
the name of ancient root which meant “White Lake” and the
others believe, that it has the Lithuanian origin and means
“Morning”.
