Big Idea
By deciding not to use drugs, you
promote your own health and influence
others to do the same.
 We will explore some ideas that will help
you understand the importance of living a
drug free life

Vocabulary

Drug-Free school Zone:
◦ Areas w/in 1,000 to 1,500 ft of schools and
designated by signs, w/in which people caught
selling drugs receive especially severe
penalties.

Drug Watches:
◦ Organized community efforts by
neighborhood residents to patrol, monitor,
report, and otherwise try to stop drug deals
and drug abuse.

Rehabilitation:
◦ The process of medical and psychological
treatment for physiological or psychological
dependence on a drug.
Resisting Pressure to Use Drugs
By resisting, you protect your health and
become a role model to others.
 It takes a strong person to resist drugs
and commit to a drug free life
 Usually it is the person with weak
character who use drugs.

Commit to IT!

 May have to decide if certain friends are
really your friends.
