Sign Language Programme

Achievements

 3 500 government premises have been retrofitted.

 32 lifts/ramps installed in public walkways.

 81 Access Co-ordinators and 3 600 Access

Officers appointed.

 675 staff participated in sign language workshop.

What we learn from this programme?

 Communication with persons with disabilities during the design of the retrofitting works is vital.

 Public education to promote an inclusive culture best starts with the government.
