Listen carefully to the passage and the
music and sketch what you see on the
sheet of paper provided.
Once you have finished your sketch, make
a list of adjectives that describe the mood
of the selection.

Huck is now on his own and he

about death. Why?
If you hear about death constantly can you
become numb to it?
How is this a part of Twain’s satire?
