There will be two prizes in this Category to reflect the importance of
Creativity and Media Planning in encouraging new entrants to the
Outdoor sector. The entry can be from either the Media or Creative
Agency or as a combined approach.
Creative judging for the Best Industry Newcomer will be based on the
following five criteria, each attracting 20% of the total marks allocated.

Planning Entry
The Planning award will be based on the following criteria and
should include creative work as we’d like to see what the work
to support the planning strategy.
1. Strategic planning (25%)
Maximum 500 words
Outline market background, campaign goals, target market, plan, why Outdoor etc.

Maximum 500 words
Understanding of key variables in Outdoor planning process – timing/use of formats/regionality/weights/innovative
planning and demonstrable cost efficiencies via CPTs etc. Non-JNOR formats will be allowed for.

Understanding of how the poster creative needs to work in synergy with the medium to achieve communications objectives.
