• Christmas is a time of joy for
the birth of Jesus Christ. It is
time that begins on Christmas
Eve, December 24. During this
time students have Christmas
holidays

• Christmas is celebrated in many
countries around the world.
Each country has different
customs associated with
Christmas. They relate to food,
decorating houses and various
other things.
FOOD
• In Poland
• At the Polish table at
Christmas we will find:
herring, borscht soup,
mushroom soup,
dumplings with
cabbage and
mushrooms, carp and
other fish, and a
variety of cakes, such
as cheesecake, poppyseed cake, gingerbread
• In England
• A traditional English
and British Christmas
dinner includes roast
turkey or goose,
brussels sprouts, roast
potatoes, cranberry
sauce, rich nutty
stuffing, tiny sausages
wrapped in bacon (pigs
in a blanket) and
lashings of hot gravy.
HABITS
• With Christmas-related habits are
different. Many of them are similar in
many countries. For example,
decorating a Christmas tree with
colorful ornaments. Hangs on her
