Finding a Book
• Follow signs at
the end of the
stacks to
locate the call
number.

• Look at signs on the end
of the upright shelves.
• Call number 609 BEN is
located in the
Technology section
between 600-699.
(Signs may change in looks
but should still have the
Dewey decimal numbers on
them)

• Find 609 BEN on
the shelf.
(Remember, it may not
be between these
exact books everyday,
as books get moved
around or may be
checked out.)

Where do I look for a
certain
type
of
book?
Non fiction books are located in
the upright shelves.
Fiction books are found along
the wall.
Book Sections cont.
All Reference books are located
in the short shelves in the
middle of the library.
All Biographies & Short Story
Collections are found along
the left hand wall.
Checking Out a Book
Take your selection
to the Circulation
Desk to check it
out of the library.
You will need your
ID card. The library
staff will assist you.

Library Policies:




Books are checked out for 2 weeks at a
time.
Fines accumulate at a rate of .10 per
day.
After 3 weeks with an outstanding fine
or overdue book, you will not have
library privileges until it this is cleared.
Some teachers assign research projects
that will have special loan periods and
fines associated with them.

Fire Emergency Exit
Emergency Fire Exit
This door is to be used when the fire
alarm or emergency tone sounds!
This is also the door that is used
to go down to lounge from the
library. This door cannot be
used for lunch access though.

Tornado Warning
In the case of a tornado,
students in the LMC will exit out
the front door of the LMC and
proceed down the hall to the
right and into theatre hallway.
