has been simplified from the full Data Model at http://www.smithsrisca.co.uk/ IEHF10/konrad2-bachman-diagram.pdf. The diagram shows 21 functionally discrete mental processors [the "module" boxes] and some of the 36 Long-Term Memory resources allocated to them [the blue boxes], and is structurally cognate with the processing hierarchy diagrams used elsewhere in cognitive science [e.g., Norman (1990)] and in robotics [e.g., Arkin (1990)]. The diagram also shows the main known and presumptive information flow lines. Information is pulsed from processor to processor as Short-Term Events [the pink "STEV" boxes], but is also retained locally as archive sets of Medium-Term Events [the yellow "MTEV" boxes]. The green captions indicate the search key argument for the information flow in question [similar to the use of flowline type codes in Ellis (1982)].
