HUNTING TECHNOLOGY
Egyptians used a duck trap that they sprinkled grain on
for bait and when they pull the string, SNAP! The duck gets
trapped and dies. And it makes a nice dinner for the hunter!

They used other traps as a simple dagger or axe to kill.
The average length for a dagger is about 5 in. long and an axe
is about 1 ft. tall.

THE SICKLE & SHADUF
A sickle was used on land to
harvest crops. A man held the sickle
and cut the crops, the crops were
mostly wheat or barley.
The executive was a watering
device made from and a
counterweight. It was used to lift
water from a river, ocean, canal, etc.
WORKERS AND
PYRAMIDS

Each worker carried two granite
hammers and two copper chisels. The
Egyptians built mud ramps and
hauled bricks higher to the pyramid
and even some bricks weighed more
than two tons! It takes about
twenty years to build one single
pyramid!
FARMING TOOLS

Egyptians used wooden
sickles to harvest their crops.
They ground up flour by
crushing it with a stone. They
made wine using the bagpress
and squeezed juice out of
grapes.
