TF160 / SS VENDORS SESSION 3GPP RAN5#65 R5-14xxxx © ETSI 2014. All rights reserved 10 – 14 November 2014 Venice, Italy Presented by TF160 Leader Agenda R5-145069r1 / R5-145070 – eICIC: • Test Model for OCNG support: brainstorming with proponent. R5-145286 – AP#64.03 – FGIs for LTE FDD/TDD Branch: • Urgency of prose update. Any real issues today in the field? R5w140302 – UTRAN Activation time Reduction in TTCN-3: • Action 27.2: SS Vendors: To trial the activation time test provided by TF160 and report results. By SS Sidebar of RAN5 #65. R5-145242 – IMS TC 15.15: • How and when to get the UE to subscribe to the MWI package. R5-145010 – Slide 8 – IMS/XCAP: • Translated-from-XSD TTCN-3 modules will not be delivered any more from iWD-wk49 TTCN-3 delivery. R5w140301 – TTCN Deliveries and Miscellaneous: • Clash between iwd-15wk25 delivery date and CAG#43 deadlines. SS Vendors should investigate whether this is an issue for them and how to alleviate it. © ETSI 2014. All rights reserved R5-145069r1 / R5-145070 – eICIC Qualcomm: • Trials performed with 10MHz BW using OCNG Pattern TS 36.133 A.3.2.1.6 and with 5MHz BW using OCNG Pattern TS 36.133 A.3.2.1.19. Baseline for OCNG Test Model in eICIC SIG TCs: • TS 36.133 A.3.2.1 for FDD (top section part), • Modulation: QPSK, • Pattern: In dirty subframes OCNG is transmitted over the whole Bandwidth, in clean subframes OCNG is not transmitted, • OCNG is not transmitted in REs used for CRS, • OCNG is not transmitted in RB used by PDSCH for SysInfo Tx, • PCFICH/PDCCH/PHICH handling: as per TS 36.133 A.3.2.1. Actions: • Qualcomm: To update R5-145070 spreadsheet to add the RSRQ calculations • for dirty subframes. TF160 / SS Vendors: To investigate Test Model and discuss in upcoming Workshop. Qualcomm to help answer any further question. © ETSI 2014. All rights reserved R5-145286 – AP#64.03 – FGIs for LTE FDD/TDD Branch Anite confirmed that they have observed the issue with real UEs. But no clear view on the urgency for those UE partners. Impact: • Some test cases are wrongly defined as not applicable to certain UEs. • E.g.: in 13.4.3.1, the TTCN check the pc_FeatrGrp_27 as per C112 in Table 4-1a, while a UE only support it on FDD (have pc_FeatrGrp_27_F as true , but pc_FeatrGrp_27 and pc_FeatrGrp_27_T as false) will not be able to run the test case. Action: • TF160 Leader to report to RAN5 SIG session for final decision on when to bring the necessary prose updates. © ETSI 2014. All rights reserved R5w140302 – UTRAN Activation time Reduction in TTCN-3 Anritsu provided results for 13.4.3.2, 8.4.2.2 , 13.3.2.1 , 13.1.3. Failure with 13.1.3, SIP retransmission still seen with 13.4.3.2 . Anritsu have reservations on TF160 change. KeySight will soon provide some results, failure on 13.1.3 also seen. TF160 requested SS logs so that we can further investigate those issues, and would welcome any additional results from SS Vendors. The UTRAN ActTime reduction will not be introduced in TTCN-3 in iwd-wk49. © ETSI 2014. All rights reserved R5-145242 – IMS TC 15.15 Uncertainties about when to configure the UE to subscribe to MWI. • OptionA: pre-configuration, • OptionB: after UE registration. Prose of 15.15 currently specifies something like OptionB, but R&S mentioned that they have UEs behaving like OptionA. Once UE is configured with MWI, does it retain it at switch off/on? What parallelism do we need to cater for with the registration event package? Action: • R&S to contact the original prose author to obtain feedback on those open points. © ETSI 2014. All rights reserved R5-145010 – Slide 8 – IMS/XCAP Anritsu suggested to wait until baseline upgrade to stop delivering those files. TF160 Leader clarified that there are copyright issues with the TTCN-3 Tool Vendors. Also recurrent issue of TTCN CRs proposing changes to those files, which are not under TF160 control. Translated-from-XSD TTCN-3 modules will not be delivered any more from iWD-wk49 TTCN-3 delivery. © ETSI 2014. All rights reserved R5w140301 – TTCN Deliveries and Miscellaneous Clash between iwd-15wk25 delivery date and CAG#43 deadlines: • The timings are so close that even an early wk25 delivery would not help the SS Vendors. • Alternative solution is for RAN5 / TF160 to define a list of critical prose CRs coming out of RAN5#67. • Only required in relations to the CAG 10day-rule submissions. • To re-discuss in the next Workshop. © ETSI 2014.
