line. Shapes, colours and values can be arranged to create a sense
of comfort and balance.

CONTRAST

This means the difference in values, colours or other art elements
when they are placed together. This makes art more exciting and
interesting.
VALUE CONTRAST
Shows the difference between
two colours / hues / shades
INTENSITY CONTRAST
The difference between a pure
colour beside a mixed colour
TEMPERATURE CONTRAST
Shows the difference between
warm and cool colours
SIZE CONTRAST
Shows the difference between
small and large objects

Rhythm means the flow of art – like heartbeats, music, walking
or dancing has flow – and includes the repetition of colours,
