They do not have access to student records (nor does the high school)
Clark is a college and is an adult environment

Is Running Start right for me?
Consider:
1.
2.
3.
You will miss some or all of your high school
experience and time with your friends
You will need to be more responsible:
1.Instructors different than HS teachers
1. No contact with parents
2. Less lenient
2.Homework doesn’t always have deadlines
It is more difficult to keep up with what is
happening at the high school– dates/times/events…
‘Begin with the End’ in mind

How Do Credits Work?
1.
The number of hours you go to school per week is basically
the number of credits— (for a 5-credit class, you attend every
day for an hour or 2 days a week for 2 1/2 hours…)
2.
Every 5 credits at Clark College is equal to 1 (full year of)
credit at the high school
How Many Classes/Credits Should I Take?
For Full-Time Running Start Students:
* 12-15 credits is considered a full load
* 15 credits is the maximum for full-time Running Start
