A Resource Account is an email inbox that represents a particular topic, room or a piece of equipment. The resource can be "invited" to meetings just like people can be invited. The resource can also be emailed just like people can be emailed.
In Microsoft Outlook, you can schedule the use of resources such as conference rooms and equipment by defining an e-mail account for each resource. To reserve these resources you invite them to meetings and activities as you do individuals.
These resources can be set up to automatically accept or reject scheduling requests or an assigned delegate can handle these decisions manually.
Resource accounts can be setup to receive emails that relate to a particular topic and access given to several individuals. This enables multiple users to have access to the same email inbox.
Resource accounts can be setup by emailing a request to RV, REV Computer
Security . Ironically, RV, REV Computer Security is a resource account that the
Revenue Computer Security office uses.
