You need to complete the Health and Safety
assessment to a satisfactory standard (110
points)
Its on learning materials on Bb - read the
guidance notes first. You can have unlimited
attempts!
Attendance monitoring

Full time hours include half day study
Does not include lunch or when you arrive
unless agreed with your educator
We need to have a total number of hours
completed
Need to complete 80% of the total hours
to count (234/292 hours) but expectation
is that you complete 100% of hours unless
Sickness/Absence reporting



If you are absent from your placement you must
contact your placement educator immediately.
You should then call the absence line on 0114 225
5446 and wait for the prompts to tell us the required
information. Please ensure that you have your student
ID number ready and answer all questions clearly. If
you are reporting for sickness you will NOT be asked
to disclose any personal information.
Failure to report your absence to the Placement Team
may lead to it being recorded as unauthorised. Once
you have returned to placement you must call the
absence line again to inform us of your return.
Your responsibilities
When you know where your placement is
going to be (should be 6 weeks before):
Contact PPE and arrange visit
Send CV at least one month before
placement starts
Ask for reading list and read!
Write some learning objectives with you to
discuss and develop further with your PPE
