Industrial Placement Opportunity
With 2 Sisters Food Group – a 12 month placement to gain invaluable
experience as part of your degree, starting from June/July 2013:
Process Technologist – Recipe Dish, Grimsby
Working as part of the site Process Development team, as the sole supplier of chilled soup
and sauces to M&S, you will experience life at a fast pace ensuring a focus on quality at
every stage of the production process, from raw materials to finished products. You’ll also
experience new product launches and range refreshes as part of your development
journey.
Assisting in the day-to-day activities, the successful candidate will be involved in the
transfer of new product developments through the process development plan to successful
launch.
This will involve conducting factory trials, completing documentation and process criteria
that is relevant to launching a product of the highest quality at the correct agreed margins
and yields as briefed from NPD at handover.
The successful candidate may be given supervised responsibility for a complete launch to
aid in their studies, a documented presentation to be given at the end of placement to
assess the understanding of the product launch process.
Knowledge / Skills
• Currently participating in a food related degree course and have a genuine interest in
progressing a career within food manufacturing
• Possess an understanding of food safety and good hygiene practices
• Must be able to work well under pressure and in accordance with deadlines
• A hands on approach with strong attention to detail
• Be prepared to work additional/flexible hours as required to ensure products launch on
time and to budget.

• Working hours – Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm (flexibility required)
• Location: Unit 1, Pegasus Way, Europarc, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, DN37 9TS
• Salary – £16,000
• Annual Leave entitlement – 28 days
