Agritourism is defined as the act of visiting a working farm, or any agricultural, horticultural, or agribusiness operation for the purpose of enjoyment, education, or active involvement in the activities of the farm or operation. Why Agritourism? Agritourism contributed to the stability of the agriculture and tourism industries of the state. Agritourism is one alternative for improving the incomes and potential economic viability of small farms. House Bill 440 "WARNING Under Kentucky law, there is no liability for an injury to or death of a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location if the injury or death results exclusively from the inherent risks of the agritourism activity and in the absence of negligence.
