A PROPER ESSAY
• Your response must have:
• An introduction
• A clear thesis statement
• Two to three body paragraphs that includes
appropriate factual information (examples, details,
support).
• A conclusion

• A paragraph is 5 or more sentences.
• The thesis is the very last sentence of the introduction and
the very first sentence of the conclusion.
• Provide evidence, examples, details, explanations, from the
course material in your body paragraphs to support your
thesis.

• You will need blank, lined paper for this.
• Use blue or black pen.
• Double space your work.
