responsible for activation
Office installs a script (ospp.vbs) with a series of activation related
switches. Common ones are:
• /dstatus
• /act
Once activated Office uses the SPPsvc to renew the activation

With Previous Version of Office
Coexistence with previous versions of Office (2003, 2007, 2010) is
supported but not recommended
Common issues in coexistence state arise around shared extension
points (such as file type associations) for which there can be only one
owner

triggered to retake these extensions
