Eleanor Roosevelt’s audience was thousands of French citizens and
delegates of the United Nations. She was there to discuss “The
Struggle For Human Rights” to those that failed to accept fundamental
rights and freedoms of all humans, no matter their race, gender or
belief.
Purpose

Human Rights” was to persuade countries who failed to
comply to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Roosevelt wanted to persuade them into understanding
