Όταν ένα ρήμα τελειώνει σε σύμφωνο και
+y αφαιρούμε το –y και προσθέτουμε +ies

Όταν ένα ρήμα τελειώνει σε φωνήεν +y,
απλά προσθέτουμε -s στο τρίτο πρόσωπο

Στην άρνηση χρησιμοποιούμε do ή does, τη
λέξη not και το απαρέμφατο του κύριου
ρήματος χωρίς to (bare infinitive).

Στην ερώτηση χρησιμοποιούμε do ή does
και bare infinitive.
Do you like bananas?
Does she work in the supermarket?
Στις σύντομες απαντήσεις χρησιμοποιούμε
μόνο do ή does. Δεν χρησιμοποιούμε το
κύριο ρήμα.
Do we have a new teacher?
Yes, we do.
Does Peter want to come with us?
No, he doesn’t.
