A Shakespearean production takes place… One was built on the floor and called “Hell” They had another one on the ceiling called “Heavens” They used that trap door to make people and ghosts appear. The height is five feet off the stage. Actors attached by harnesses, wires, or ropes. Used for flying entrances, and the affect of flying. Could be a handkerchief soaked in blood. Animal organs, intestines, tongues, and bones, could be used. Bladders filled with animals blood could also be used in some action scenes. Placed on roofs above the heavens. Used for dramatic affects. Only loaded with gun powder for noise. No records, but they think it has at least been tried. Musicians were hired to play music. Fireworks were used to imitate battlefields. Sound effects would be made from Hell. Metal sheets and rolling cannons were used to make the sound of thunder.
