Student Code of Conduct
• The Student Code of Conduct
lists the rules for the college.
• The Student Code reflects our
culture and values.
• Teachers and Administration
take the rules very seriously.
• Breaking the Code of Conduct
may result in serious
consequences.
In college, you cannot:
• Interfere with the class or
meetings.
• Threaten or hurt other students or
teachers.
• Steal anything from the college or
students.
• Harass the teacher or other
students—creepy sexual behavior.
Cheating
• Copy from another person’s test.
• Use “other material” during a test.
• Talking with students during a test.
Cheating on Homework
“Group Study” means helping each other learn,
not doing the work for each other.
• You must do your own homework.
• You can’t let other people copy your
homework.
Plagiarism
• “Using” other peoples ideas without giving
them credit.
• Using other people’s work, but saying it is your
work.
• Using a “term paper” service.

Fail for your paper or test.
Kicked out of class.
Kicked out of SCC for a semester.
Kicked out of SCC/ARC/CRC/FLC forever.
Weapons
• You can’t bring any kind of weapon to class
(guns, knives, sticks, etc.)
Drugs and Alcohol
• You can’t use drugs and alcohol BEFORE OR
DURING class.
• Medical Marijuana is not allowed at college.
• Do not bring drugs or alcohol to the college.
Gambling
• No gambling of any kind is allowed on
campus.
Animals
• No pets or other animals are allowed on
campus (including dogs in bags.)
• Service dogs are permitted.
Smoking
• On campus, smoking is only permitted
outside, 30 feet (10 meters) from buildings.
• Please be courteous when smoking in public.
Posting Signs, Flyers
• Permitted, in special places.
• MUST have approval from Student Leadership.
