MAPS Testing and Remote Testing
• The following slides cover content related to remote testing.
• MAPS Testing at Saratoga Middle School currently and typically uses
the NTESTEM68 login.
Testing Methods: School District of Waukesha
1. More often than not, the software will be accessed through a
special account on a PC running Windows.
2. The School District has recently adopted the use of Chromebooks
for testing. These use Citrix Access Gateway to remotely connect to
a PC that is capable of running the software for testing. So the
Chromebook accesses the host computer over the internet; it is not
capable of running the test itself.
PC Method
1. When you finish your test, after clicking EXIT, click Start and click
Computer.
2. You will be able to use the computer for several seconds before the
machine automatically logs you out.
Alternative Method (Better)
1. When accessing the host computer through the Internet, hit the
SHIFT key 5 times. This will bring up a message about Sticky Keys.
2. Click the redirect to Ease of Access Center.
3. You have now entered the Control Panel of the remote computer.
You can now remotely and access this account via the Internet.

• Visit www.citrix.waukesha.k12.wi.us This url may not bring up a
website on all devices. For example, some devices I attempt to log
into with this web url fail, whereas others succeed in accessing the
server.

• Login using your school district genaric login.
• For Example: fdemonst@waukesha.k12.wi.us
• USE ONLY the part before the @ symbol (fdemonst)

Conclusion
• Citrix Access Gateway located at www.citrix.waukesha.k12.wi.us
allows you to login over the server to Citrix Receiver.
• Many companies use Citrix Receiver to store network programs so
programs to not have be installed on every computers, especially
expensive programs like Autodesk, AutoCad and Microsoft Office.
• To make MAPS testing possible on Chromebooks, teachers login to
Citrix Receiver and launch the test over the network in a new window.
Opening a Citrix Receiver Program
• Click on a program’s icon once on your main screen.
It will now connect to the program over the
network
