Play To Win
Score My Team
Play to Win
Play to Win is part of Score My Team and it assigns
points based on winning and losing games
Play to Win fosters team interaction and friendly
competition
Play to Win is typically weighted as a lower scoring
module, such as 5-10%.
Play to Win
Play to Win is not bound to a specific game and your
company decides the “game of the month/quarter”
Play to Win manages game challenges, game
results and final standings using your company’s
selected instant messenger and the Nilear Score My
Team ScoreCards
Play to Win Members
Anyone active in your PSA can be added to the pool
of potential Play to Win members
You can add/remove members for Play to Win under

Members
You do not need to be a member of Score My Team
or a ScoreCard to participate in Play to Win
Play to Win Members
Employees actively using MTM will be excluded from the
list of potential players until they have returned to the
office
You may wish to exclude players on a daily basis that are
not available due to vacation, off-site meetings, etc.
Using Nilear.Chat, you can submit “[username] ooo” and
“[username] ooo cancel” messages to flag a user as “Out of
Office”
Example: “JSmith ooo”
Result: Out of Office flag has been set for JSmith
Rules
Each day, a person may challenge up to two people
Two games per day is the system default
Each day, a person may play up to two games (See
Exceptions)
The challenges and win/loss are recorded via instant
messaging
The rules for the actual game being played are
determined by the company
Challenges
You can only have two challenges per day
If two others have already challenged you today, you will
not be able to make any challenges yourself (See
Exceptions)
Your challenges and games combined for the day can
never exceed two (See Exceptions)
Once challenges are submitted, they cannot be revoked
In order to see who you can challenge, send “challenge”
to Nilear.Chat using your instant messenger
Challenges
To challenge an opponent, send “challenge [name]” to
Nilear.Chat using your instant messenger
First Name Example: challenge john
Username Example: challenge jsmith
The challenged opponent will be notified via instant and
text messaging
You should not challenge someone who is not currently
available to participate, such as being out sick
Challenges
You should always challenge someone before you
play a game to verify the game will qualify. If it does
not, Nilear.Chat will inform you of the reason.
Unplayed challenges for the day will have no
negative impact on your score (See Exceptions)
Exception (1)
There are times when everyone else already has two
challenges recorded for the day and you still need
challenges
The system will allow you to challenge a person for an
additional game beyond their original two
The challenged person will only have his/her best two
games of the day count towards their score
Exception (2)
If you have not played your two games by 4:00 PM,
Nilear will allow you to submit a third challenge
This is helpful when a challenged employee must
leave for the day and did not play you before leaving
Only your first two games recorded for the day will
count against your score – not your best 2 out of 3
Games
After a game is played, one of the players will need to
record the result
To record a result, send Nilear.Chat via instant
messaging the name of your opponent followed by
whether they won or lost
Example: John Lost
Result: John lost to Peter in a Play to Win game
Example: John Won
Result: Peter lost to John in a Play to Win game
Games
If you incorrectly entered the result, you can resubmit the
game result with the word override appended
Example: John Won override
Result: Game result was changed to Peter lost to John
If you incorrectly enter a game, you can remove the
game result by appending the word cancel
Example: John Won cancel
Result: The game between John and Peter was removed
Scoring
The Winner receives 3 Points
The Loser receives 2 Points
Starting each week, you receive an additional bonus
point for each game you play against someone new
