Silent Card Classification: In teams of no more than 4, no talking, to categorize the cards as best possible. Set a time limit and ensure all groups finish together. 2. Challenge, Justify and Refine: Discuss in their groups if they agree on the placing. They should challenge each other and make changes. 3. Circle and Observe: Leave one group representative behind while other team member visit other groups to challenge their classification. Silent Card Shuffle 4. Return and Refine: Students should return to their group and they will immediately do this step without much prompting. Teammates Consult For each of a series of questions, students place pens in cup, share and discuss their answers, and then pick up pens to write answer in own words. Who Am I? 1. Students attempt to determine their secret identity (taped on their back) by circulating and asking “yes/no” questions of classmates. 2. They are allowed three questions per classmate (or unlimited questions until they receive a no response). 3. They then find a new classmate to question.
