• After completing this internship, and getting to talk to many of
the business owners and managers in Hamilton, Texas, I chose to
switch my major back to General Business.
• Going to Hamilton opened my eyes to many of the different types
of jobs and businesses there are in a rural community, and
getting a general business degree will help me to fulfill my
dreams of moving back to a small town.
• Before going to Hamilton, I was very unsure of myself and my
expectations of my future. After meeting so many in the
community there, and staying with so many different families with
different traditions and different views, I feel as though I have
truly become more confident in my abilities. Getting to go to
different businesses and truly seeing what goes on “behind the
scenes” has helped me to choose a different path for myself, one
that hopefully continues to help me grow.
