Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Fourth Graders are about to embark on the forming of a new country. We will begin by
discussing the events that shaped the American Revolution, major battles and key individuals
during this time of America’s history.
Each fourth grader is going to be responsible for choosing a project from the choice board
on the American Revolution. This project is due on December 12, 2014. Students must
select one of the following projects from the choice board below.
Create a 3-D model of a
scene during the American
Revolutionary War. Include
details of land features,
people, and anything extra
that might have been
included in the scene. Label
your project with a title.
(shoe boxes are an example)
Create a timeline of causes
and events of the American
Revolutionary War. Begin with
the French and Indian War
and include any other cause
and events within the
revolution. Include years,
events, and pictures on the
timeline.

Write a detailed essay (3
paragraphs) on the American
Revolution. You may choose
from any topic under the
revolution: the war, causes,
events, people,… The essay must
be written properly with
indentions, capitalization, and
punctuation. It must include at
least three paragraphs.

Students are expected to be creative and think out of the box. Parent participation is
