What is collages?
• Collage (From the French: coller, to glue), is a technique
of an art production, primarily used in the visual arts,
where the art work is made from an assemblage of different
forms, thus creating a new whole.
• A collage may sometimes include magazine, newspaper
clippings, paint, bits of colored or handmade papers of
other artwork or texts, photographs and other objects, glued
to a piece of paper or canvas.
• Techniques of collage were first used at the time of
the invention of paper in China, around 200 BC.

objects such as rocks, beads, buttons, coins or even soil to form a new whole or a new
object
• eCollage - (electronic Collage) can be used for a collage created by using computer tools.
