• More than 3000 teachers have been introduced to the
ERWC; the course has been adopted by more than 200 high schools across the state
• Thousands of teachers use this curriculum—even if the full course has not been adopted
• ERWC was developed due to the findings of the EAP by a statewide task force including teachers, CSU faculty, and administrators.
• The ERWC course is approved by the CSU and UC systems as a “b” (ELA) course.
• A bottom-up, grass roots process has been responsible for the success of the ERWC
