MEMORY TEST Who has the best Memory? Boys or girls?

PURPOSE

The reason we are doing this is to see if
the boys or the girls have the best memory.
•
HYPOTHESIS
We think that girls have the best memory
because they are the ones that have to do
the house keeping and have to remember
what they have to do.
THE MATERIALS















1 Bouncy ball
2 Paper clips
4 Thumb tacks
2 Hot-Wheel cars
1 Ice pack
5 #2 Pencils
2 Chip clips
1 Cookie sheet
12 6th grade boys
12 6th grade girls
3 School desks
25 Pages of notebook paper
1 Timer
2 Test offices
1 pair
The Procedures












1. Gather all materials listed.
2. Place all toy cars, ice packs, paperclips, bouncy ball, thumb tacks,
and pencils in tray.
3. Place tray in middle of 1 desk.
4. Set up offices on separated desks.
5. Gather 12 6th grade boys and 12 6th grade girls.
6. Set the timer for 1 min.
7. Get all volunteers to study tray.
8. Once timer goes off, hide the tray.
9. Give each boy & girl a piece of paper
10. Put boy & girl in separate offices and set the timer for 1 min.
11. Have boy & girl turn in paper and see which one has more items.
12. Repeat step 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, & 11 at least 2 more times with
different items.

Conclusions



In our test, we found out that girls have the
better memory because the total result for all
three trials was Boys: 152; Girls: 162.
Our Hypothesis was correct. It turns out that
girls do have the better memory.
We think that our hypothesis was correct
because, like we said before it is probably
because they have to do more stuff than boys
and have to remember what they need to do.
