The United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD) – nicknamed Rio+20 - took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in June 2012. It was attended by 193 countries. The aim was to create a safer, more equitable, cleaner, greener and more prosperous world. Sustainable Development Sustainable development (SD) is a pattern of economic development in which resource use aims to meet human needs while preserving the environment so that these needs can be met not only in the present, but also for generations to come. Sustainable development can be achieved only through Action and Education. The program emphasizes on building enthusiasm; inspiration through education and interaction. The program can be conducted as a HR / Employee Development initiative. Please note it can be a CSR activity as well. Registration Open till February 2013 Corporate Program A Campaign Leader (appointed from within the corporate entity) leads the program on premise Minimum Participation: 20 Leadership Course Fee: Rs. 500 Leadership Study + Workshop: Rs. 1000 Each participant gets a book, CD and online access Course Study The course study focuses on possibilities & opportunities – on latest climate change perspectives, the solutions, the science, history and policy of it all, the heroes and more.
