LOCAL COMMUNITY PLANS
CITY-WIDE PRIORITIES 2012-2017
 The significant impact of alcohol and drugs misuse across the
city - the need to raise awareness of services and support
for people who misuse drugs to access them as well as support
for those directly affected.
 The importance of Community Facilities - to maintain existing,
improve existing and develop new ones where there is
identified need.
 The need to improve community wellbeing - feelings of
isolation, lack of social networks and issues relating to
personal safety.
 Prioritise the need to ensure that information is easily
accessible and understood - in plain English using different
methods and approaches. Extend the use of the social media.
 Continued support for Job Clubs and development of skills to
prepare for training, further education and employment.
LOCAL COMMUNITY PLANS
