Rubik’s cube was invented by Emo Rubik in the mid 1970s. He was a professor of architecture.
The purpose of Rubik’s cube was to solve a structural problem which involved moving parts independently.
Also, it can be used in mathematics classes to teach students about topics pertaining to the Rubik’s Cube in an interesting way. It was called magic cube but after Rubik’s death it was given his name and branded as Rubik’s cube.
