The Statue Of Anubis
 Anubis was the main god of
embalming. He was also the protector
of the mummies in the dangerous
transformation from between death
rebirth in the afterlife. Often he
was seen as and human with the head
of a jackal and sometimes as an
entire jackal. In ancient times the
habitat of a jackal was the places
where the Egyptians burned the dead.
Most likely this was the main reason
King Nebkheperura Tutankhamen still to this
day remains the most famous of all the
Pharaohs in Egypt. But he lived for a short
period of time and was the most
insignificant ruler during a changing part in
history. The king died in his late teens and he
remained at rest in the valley of kings for
over 3,300 years. All that changed in 1922
when Tutankhamen’s Tombs was
discovered by a British Egyptologist named
Howard Carter. He was excavating on
behave of his friend Lord Carnavon. Carter
had been searching for this tomb for many
years. Carnavon had decided that he has
spend to much money on the expedition
with not enough reward. They were about
to close the expedition but the next day
Carter had discovered Tutankhamen’s
Tomb! To this day Tutankhamen's remains
are still in his tomb.
